Biographical Note
A Russian-American historian, Prince Andrei Lobanov-Rostovsky was a specialist on Russo-Asian relations and a professor of
Russian history at the University of Michigan and the University of California at Los Angeles.

This collection contains correspondence, clippings, diaries, manuscripts, writings, notes, and other printed matter relating
to Russian history, world affairs, and other subjects of interest to or on Andrei Lobanov-Rostovsky.
Lobanov-Rostovsky's library, including a set of publications of the Russian Orthodox Mission in Peking (Beijing), was donated
to the Hoover Institution Library in 2011.
