The William T. Horne Memorial Avocado Collection contains administrative records, correspondence, clippings, photographs,
publications, and other material pertaining to the Citrus Experiment Station agricultural library, citrus and avocado related
research, and the citrus and avocado commercial industries. Topics include avocado growing and growers' associations, the
production and marketing of avocados, and the scientific study of avocado plants. Records document the development and use
of the Citrus Experiment Station agricultural library, administrative activities of professional associations, and commercial
and domestic aspects of citrus fruit.
