Description
Donald Stevenson Howard was worked as a social welfare administrator, professor at and dean of the School of Social Warfare
at the University of California at Los Angeles. He also served as the deputy director of UNRRA China Mission, Foreign Economic
Administration and U.S. State Department (1943-46), vice-president of the National Conference on Social Welfare (1948), and
vice-chairman of the White House Conference on Children and Youth (1960). The collection consists of correspondence from the
period in which Howard taught at the University of California at Los Angeles.
