Description
This scrapbook largely documents student life at Stanford from 1909-1911, with a few items pertaining to summer activities. Included are letters, clippings, receipts, tickets, notes, postcards, photographs, programs, class registration cards, dance cards, calling cards, a few completed essay tests, pen and pencil sketches, and manuscript and typescript poems. Of note are an agreement from Anna Kennicott and Gertrude Mathiason to sell Tessie Tag the furnishings from room 20 of Roble Hall, 1909; regulations of Roble Dining Hall, ca. 1909; and an inventory of camp outfit for summer geology, 1909.
Background
Therese (Tessie) Tag earned her B.A. in German at Stanford University in 1915; as a student she was a member of the German Club and Schubert Club. She married Samuel A. Ratliff in 1917.
