Description
A unique collection of vernacular photographs, some with manuscript captions, documenting the high school and early adulthood
years of a Chinese-American student named Timothy S. Ko.
Background
Information on Timothy S. Ko's life is sparse in newspaper records. He graduated from Hanford Union High School in 1928. Shortly
after finishing high school, Ko was employed at a large department store in Salt Lake City, and in October 1930 he is noted
as married, with an infant daughter. By 1935, he had returned to California to live in Modesto, but then the trail on him
runs cold.
