Biographical / Historical
Saxon Sydney-Turner (1880-1962) was a British civil servant and member of the Bloomsbury
group, this was a group of friends, artists, writers, and intellectuals whose members
included Thoby Stephen, Lytton Sttachey, Virginia Woolf and Leonard Woolf.
Scope and Contents
A collection of letters from Saxon Sydney-Turner to fellow Bloomsbury friend Clive Bell.
the letters discuss mutual friends, including Thoby Stephen, plays, symphonies, their
co-authored book Euphrosyne and other personal matters. The collection also includes one
drawing and several poems by Sydney-Turner.
