Description
Papers from her work with the Stanford Alumni Association include correspondence, lists, memoranda, survey forms, clippings, minutes, reports, and press releases, 1967-73, pertaining to a reunion of the class of 1960, opinion surveys, Executive Board meetings, and the search for a new University President (1970). Personal papers include student memorabilia and letters, 1956-60; materials from her tenure as Vice-President of the ASSU, 1959-60; Stanford staff ephemera, 1967-68; and correspondence, 1962-80.
Background
Julia C. Hirsch earned her a.b. in communications at Stanford University in 1960; she was Vice-President of the Associated Students of Stanford University (ASSU) during the 1959-60 academic year. Active in the Stanford Alumni Association, she served on the Executive Board, 1967-68, and as an alumni member of the S.U. Presidential Search Committee in 1970.
