Description
Born in 1925, Ebherhard Brüning was a retired professor of American Studies at Leipzig University, Germany and worked as the
literary agent of Albert Maltz. Maltz, one of the Hollywood Ten, worked with Brüning from the early 1950's until Maltz's
death in 1985. In addition, he translated some of Maltz's novels, short stories and plays into German. This collection consists
of correspondence, manuscripts, newspaper clippings, photographs, audio recordings, and playbills related to various authors,
especially Albert Maltz.
