Photograph album containing 51 sepia, gelatin silver prints showing the construction of the Pardee Dam, near Valley Springs, California, as part of the Mokelumne River Project by Atkinson Construction Company in 1927-1929.
Background
East Bay Municipal Utilities Deistrict (EBMUD) led the 1927 construction of the Pardee Dam on the Mokelumne River near Valley Springs, California. Completed in 1929, the Pardee Dam and Reservoir provide water to EBMUD's customers in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
