Scope and Content of Collection
This collection contains black and white snapshots taken from two photo albums documenting the long-term relationship of two
men, Art and Murl Willoughby, with images spanning the years of 1939 to 1961 (mainly 1940s). Included are photographs of family
and friends, World War II and Civilian Conservation Corps, visits to Death Valley and a beach in New York, Murl’s basketball
team material, and photo booth snapshots. There is also one folder with a letter to Murl from his mother. Collection also
contains two folders of photocopies of the original scrapbook pages from which the images were removed.
