This folder contains the family documents of the Alvarado Family. It contains one hand-written letter which is a translation
of the original Spanish Language letter explaining the coat of arms of the Alvarado Family. The hand written letter was written
in 1935 and there are two copies of the coat-of-arms and two copies of the original Spanish language letters,.

Abstract: This folder contains copies of originals which are housed at the Bancroft Libraray. The copies of file establishing the legitimacy
and the Christian and noble lineage of the brothers Pedro, Luis and José de Mazateve Alvarado, natives of the district of
Cuatro Villas de la Costa, located in present-day Santander. Includes a colored coat-of-arms and the petition of Pedro for
genealogical investigations, September 27, 1586, and that of his brothers, June 18, 1615, for application of the 1586 records
to their own testimony of witnesses, and pertinent orders.

This folder contains photocopies of originals, which are housed at the Bancroft Libraray. The copies in the file are of the
papers establishing the legitimacy and the Christian and noble lineage of the brothers Pedro, Luis and José de Mazateve Alvarado,
natives of the district of Cuatro Villas de la Costa, located in present-day Santander. Includes a colored coat-of-arms and
the petition of Pedro for genealogical investigations, September 27, 1586, and that of his brothers, June 18, 1615, for application
