Description
The collection contains materials collected by and related to Frederick Stark during his time as a loadmaster for U.S. Air Force. The material includes personal and biographic history from this time. The collection includes documents, correspondence, news articles and clippings, and photographs.
Background
Frederick Gustav Stark was a Chief Master Sergeant and Loadmaster in the U.S. Air Force. He served for 23 years, during the Korea-Vietnam era. As an Aircraft Loadmaster he worked on several airlift aircraft supporting testing, military training and operations worldwide. He retired as a C-5 initial cadre Loadmaster on the C-5 test program. In 1955, he survived a plane accident while serving in Greenland.
