- Biographical / historical:
-
Philip Emil Fein was born in New York, NY in 1912, and moved to San Francisco some time in the late 1930s. Fein was an architectural photographer working primarily during the 1950s and 60s in California. He photographed both residential and commercial buildings, and landscapes. Based on the records, it appears that he was exclusively contracted by firms to document architectural sites. Fein died in 1994.
