The collection is composed entirely of teleplays directed by Robert Sinclair between 1957-1962 with the exception of a pitch for the show The Deputy. The teleplays are usually annotated, sometimes with blocking diagrams; shooting schedules and cast lists are usually appended. The collection is arranged alphabetically by series and then alphabetically by show name. Five scripts were not identifiable by series and are clustered at the end of the inventory.

Sinclair was an American director of stage, film and television. Born in Ohio in 1905, he graduated from the Whorton School of Business Administration at the University of Pennsylvania in 1926. He directed the original Broadway productions of The Philadelphia Story, The Postman Always Rings Twice, Dodsworth, Babes in Arms and Pride and Prejudice. He came to California in 1938 from New York City, settled in Beverly Hills and married actress Heather Angel on April 15 1944 in Hollywood. He directed a variety of films in the 1940s and '50s, including Mr. and Mrs. North and Down in San Diego. In the mid-fifties he became involved in television, notably for his direction of the series Mr. District Attorney. Sinclair went into semi-retirement in the mid 'sixties, and led an active social live in Montecito, especially in Theater. He was murdered in his home during a burglary attempt by a UCSB graduate student on January 3, 1970.
