- Acquisition information:
- The Luis W. Alvarez papers were given to the Bancroft Library by Janet Alvarez on January 23, 1984. Additions were received in 1985 and in 1989. The collection was shipped to the Federal Records Center in San Bruno, CA, for classification review on June 16, 1989. Originals were retained by the Pacific Sierra Branch, National Archives Records Administration, which provided photocopies to the Bancroft Library. Research Notebook no. 1, 1932-1934, was received by the Bancroft Library in April 2006.
