Background
Daniel Cowan Jackling, born 4 August 1869 in Appleton, Missouri, was a mining engineer. He was instrumental in the establishment
of several mining companies and the development of mining areas in the Western United States. He was associated with Kennecott
Copper for many years. He died in 1956.
