Betty Rosenberg (1916- ) was a lecturer in library and information science (1973-77), and senior lecturer emeritus (1977- ) at UCLA, and an author. Her publications include The romance of book collecting (1978), Genreflecting: a guide to reading interests in genre fiction (1982) and The letter killeth: three bibliographical essays for bibliomaniacs (1982). The collection contains notes and the manuscript for her revised edition of Genreflecting: a guide to reading interests in genre fiction (1982). Biographical / historical:

Rosenberg was born on October 17, 1916 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; came to the U.S. in 1917 and became a citizen in 1923; BA (1938), MA (1950), UCLA; Certificate in Librarianship, UC Berkeley, 1940; worked as a librarian, Los Angeles County Public Library, 1942-45; librarian (1945-57), bibliographical assistant to librarian (1957-61), lecturer (1961-73), senior lecturer in library and information science (1973-77), and senior lecturer emeritus, beginning in 1977, UCLA; publications include: The romance of book collecting (1978), Booked for murder (1979), Bibliomania, or Bound to kill (1981), Genreflecting: a guide to reading interests in genre fiction (1982) and The letter killeth: three bibliographical essays for bibliomaniacs (1982).
