Writings, correspondence, serial issues, clippings, other printed matter, and audiovisual
materials, relating to political, military and international aspects of the Spanish Civil
War. Includes clippings from the Spanish, French, Italian and British press arranged
day-by-day, microfilm of Spanish and foreign periodical issues, and copies of papers of
Luis Araquistain, relating to the war. Used as research material for the books by Burnett
Bolloten, The Grand Camouflage (1961), The Spanish Revolution (1979), and The Spanish
Civil War (1991).

Collection is open for research.
Access to audiovisual materials requires at least two weeks advance notice. Audiovisual
materials include sound recordings, video recordings, and motion picture film.
Hoover staff will determine whether use copies of the materials requested can be
made available. Some materials may not be accessible even with advance notice. Please
