Scope and content:

Correspondence, dispatches, writings and manuscripts, diaries, photographs, clippings, and printed matter relating to European diplomacy and German politics between the world wars, the Sino-Japanese War, the European theater in World War II, the Cold War, post-war Middle East, the Italo-Ethiopian War, and U.S. foreign policy. Of note are pictures with Nazis, and correspondence, including love letters, with Lady Drummond-Hay. Includes material from Egypt, some from Shanghai and Wiegand's internment in Japan between 1942-1943. Also includes information about Wiegand's flights on the zeppelins.
