government and communist party documents, and miscellany, relating to the Romanian
economy; youth organizations; the history of Transylvania; national minorities in
Romania; Hungarian, Soviet and Bulgarian historiography regarding Romania; the overthrow
of the communist regime in 1989; and subsequent political conditions and election
campaigns.

Access
Collection is open for research, except for one folder in Box 1, which is closed until
2020 December.
Access to audiovisual materials requires at least two weeks advance notice. Audiovisual
materials include sound recordings, video recordings, and motion picture film.
Hoover staff will determine whether use copies of the materials requested can be
made available. Some materials may not be accessible even with advance notice. Please
