The Views of the Hotel Del Monte album contains 27 photographic prints taken circa 1910. The primary subject of the album is the Hotel Del Monte, the lavish 126-acre Swiss Gothic resort constructed in Monterey, California in 1880 by the Southern Pacific Railroad Company. The album includes several exterior views of the hotel and grounds, many of which feature the extensive landscape gardening surrounding the structure. Interior scenes include verandas, a dining room, a lobby, and a billiard room. Also included are photographs of the greater Monterey Peninsula, which picture golfers, the Pebble Beach Lodge, and the 17-mile Drive and Cypress Point. An unidentified party is pictured throughout the album.
