He was the president and managing director of Sun Maid Raisin Growers from 1923-28 and later became the project director for United States War Relocation Authority (WRA) at Manzanar War Relocation Center, California, from November 1942-March 1946. He served as UC Regent from 1923-30. The collection consists of correspondence, clippings, pictures, printed materials, and books related to Camp Hahn and the Death Valley All Souls Memorial Association.
