Harriette Carr von Breton (1910-1998) was an architectural historian and Santa Barbara News-Press art critic. In the 1950s she and journalist Chet Huntley shared a Peabody award for the ABC radio show "Parlor Politics." She was involved in a number of civic and political interests in Los Angeles and later, after she moved to Santa Barbara, was a member of the Santa Barbara Clean Air and Water Commission and the Citizens Planning Commission.
