Biographical / historical:

Wilbur Peterkin was a Colonel in the United States Army. He served as the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of the United States Army Observer Group, more commonly referred to as the Dixie Mission, with Chinese communist forces in Yenan, China, 1944-1945.
