Twenty-two lectures of a full-length course on computational linguistics presented at the 1987 Linguistic Institute held at Stanford University .

Biographical / historical:

The Linguistics Society of America is a scholarly society whose mission is to advance the scientific study of language. Its members include students, faculty, and linguists working in government, non-profit organizations, and industry sectors. Gerald Gazdar (1950-) is a British linguist, computer scientist, and retired professor of computational linguistics at the University of Sussex.
