Harold K. Boyd was Stanford University's first Black Assistant and Associate Dean of Students. He joined the Office of Development in 1980 and extensively engaged in addressing challenges faced by minority students, sometimes working independently and at other times acting as a support for a white administrator, including one instance with the President.
