Biographical / historical:

The Seminar on American Architecture: Design of the American College Campus, a writing-intensive course sponsored by art professor Paul Turner, was created in 1986 to survey and address architecture and campus planning as developed at colleges and universities in the United States using Stanford University's campus as a model for development.

Paul Venable Turner (1939-), Professor Emeritus at Stanford University, is an architect and art historian.
