Biographical / historical:

UCI Student Housing operates under the Office of Student Affairs and includes seven housing communities: Arroyo Vista, Campus Village, Mesa Court, Middle Earth, Palo Verde, Verano Place, and American Campus Communities apartments. Five apartment buildings are privately operated by American Campus Communities: Vista del Campo, Vista del Campo Norte, Camino del Sol (undergraduates only), Puerta del Sol, and Plaza Verde. UCI guarantees two years of housing to all freshmen who are single, under the age of 25, enrolled in the current term, and meet the housing application and contract-return deadlines. Undergraduate communities include special interest and theme halls.

The collection was changed from a Publications Series collection to an University Archives collection (PS-051 to AS-230) and the title was changed from "University of California, Irvine, Student Housing publications" to "University of California, Irvine, Student Housing records" as part of the Publications Series sunsetting project started in 2019. Accession added and resource updated by Gabrielle Wood, 2023.
