Colored Troops, 30th Regiment, Company D, "Inventory and Inspection Report of Unserviceable Stores" Includes items such as bayonet scabbards, cartridge boxes, rifles, and belts, which had been in use for a year and a half. Company D was commanded by Captain Edwin Melaney. Inspection was conducted 11 Nov. 1865, in accordance with Circular No. 52 - Series of 1863: "Disposition of Unserviceable and Surplus Ordnance Stores."
