The collection contains 69 black and white photographs of California Native Americans, apparently the Yokut of the San Joaquin Valley, Miwok of Yosemite, and the Pomo of the Clear Lake Basin - with captions indicating activities such as arrow making, basket making, fishing, hunting, and village life. Used at one point as educational packets. These appear to be relatively recent photos, not 19th century or early 20th century ethnographic images.
