The collection primarily contains auction, company, dealer, and exhibit catalogs relating to scientific instruments, publications,
and the history of science. These generally are arranged by name of company or repository. There also are some items pertaining
to Badash's interest in astrolabes, clocks, scientific instruments, Sumerian clay tablets, sundials, and telescopes.

Lawrence Badash (1934 - ) is a UCSB Professor of History and author of several works on the history of science in the nuclear
age, including
