"A Woodside Reminiscence: as told by Grizzly Ryder," by Cutler L. Bonestell, is a recounting of a 1914 conversation between Cutler L. Bonestell and Grizzly Ryder on how he survived an attack by a grizzly bear near what is now called Bear Creek, near Woodside, CA. He refused an amputation of his damaged leg, survived, and recovered.
