The collection consists of loose bound notebooks of script materials for the documentary television series Expedition!. The notebooks were originally compiled by V. Fae Thomas, but it not clear if Thomas was related to the production of the program or not. In addition to the 40-plus scripts there is very small amount of teachers' guide material.
The materials have been removed from their original notebooks for preservation purposes, but are physically housed in the original order in which they were filed by season and show number. The notebook titles are included in the notes field.

Expedition!, the documentary television series, made its debut on ABC-TV in September 1960 and was sponsored by the Ralston Purina Company. The program documented journeys to the various remote regions of the world and was known for presenting exciting and sometimes controversial places around the globe. The series run from 1960-1963. It received a Thomas Alva Edison award, Ohio State award, and Peabody award for television excellence.
