Scope and content:

Scrapbook of Hazel Severy (1884-1974), with clippings, photographs, programs, and related materials documenting activities at Santa Barbara State Normal School, predecessor of UCSB. Severy taught science and home economics, then chemistry, from 1914 to 1951. For many years she also was chair of the science and mathematics department. There is a Hazel Severy Court between two of the Biological Sciences buildings on the UCSB campus.
