Scope and content:

The bulk of these papers consist of advertising plans and presentations prepared by students in Russell's classes, 1937-1940; products include the Wesix electric heater, Su-perb Soap, and Harvey's Fresh Frozen Foods. Also includes correspondence relating to the advertisment plans, 1938, an article concerning the Su-perb soap campaign, 1938, and a letter to Russell from Ray Lyman Wilbur concerning his salary, 1940.

Biographical / historical:

Russell, Stanford class of 1930 and an advertising account executive, taught several courses on advertising through the Journalism Department at Stanford University, 1937-1940.
