Abstract:
Camp Jened, at the foot of Hunter Mountain in the Catskills of New York, was a camp started in 1952 for children and adults with disabilities. The camp eventually relocated to Rock Hill, New York and closed in 2006.

Scope and content:

Collection of typewritten, mimeographed newsletters produced by campers. Also includes a few programs for camp performances, a color copy of a brochure for the Camp (circa 1954), and a letterhead for the camp listing its Executive Board. Denise Sherer Jacobson, a former camp attendee and co-producer of some of the newsletters provides an introduction and brief history of the camp (7 leaves, April 9, 2012).
