The collection includes meeting minutes, agendas, memoranda, financial records, reports, correspondence, articles, and semester schedules. Topics include student recruitment, university finances, student employment, tuition and other student charges, admissions, graduation, faculty housing, voice mail, and WASC accreditation. Former committee members include David Davenport, Charles Runnels, William Adrian, Andrew Benton, Mike O'Neal, Robert Thomas, John Watson and Connie James. The materials range from 1983 to 1992.

Biographical / historical:

The University Policy Committee oversees facilities and general university management. It meets to discuss and approve various introductions and changes to the university policy. It controls policies, such as off-campus and student housing; retirement privileges and plans; health and medical coverages; sick and vacation days; campus development, including building name and finance approval; fundraising plans; financial aid; and other general management policies. The original members of this committee included David Davenport, Bill Adrian, Michael Adams, Larry Hornbaker, Mike O'Neal, William Phillips, Shirley Roper, and John Watson. Later members included Andrew Benton, James Wilburn, among others.

Acquisition information:
The collection was transferred from the Office of the President in 2012. Files belonged to Shirley Roper.
