This collection consists of five scrapbooks of newspaper articles, photographs, programs and several awards/proclamations that chart the history of this Branch to date.

Biographical / historical:

The American Association of University Women was founded in 1881 as an organization of women college graduates who banded together to open doors of higher education to other women and to help them find better opportunities to utilize their training. The Local Ontario-Upland-Rancho Cucamonga Branch was founded in 1955. This collection consists of five scrapbooks of newspaper articles, photographs, programs and several awards/proclamations that chart the history of this Branch to date.

Acquisition information:
The original collection was donated by Joan Gerard, AAUW Publicity/Historian Officer to the Model Colony Room on September 20, 1987. Several additional scrapbooks, proclamations, etc. have been donated since 1987 by subsequent club historians
