Scope and content:

The collection comprises the internal bulletin of the Revolutionary Marxist Committee and Revolutionary Marxist Papers, the organization's journal. It also contains and the newsletter of the Revolutionary Marxist Organizing Committee.

Biographical / historical:

The Revolutionary Marxist Committee (RMC) was an organization founded by members of a dissenting faction that left the Revolutionary Socialist League (RSL) in 1975. It became part of the Socialist Workers Party in 1978.

The Revolutionary Marxist Committee collection was donated to the Holt Labor Library in San Francisco, California between 1992 and 2019, and was acquired by the Gerth Archives and Special Collections at California State University, Dominguez Hills, in 2019.
