This series contains materials related to the personal lives of Arthur Brown, Jr. and his family members. It includes biographical materials such as Brown's Curriculum Vitae, correspondence with personal friends and family, portraits and photographs of Brown and his family and associates, and family financial records. Of particular interest in this series is a travel diary kept by Brown during his first trip to Europe in 1889, the student drawings created by Brown during his time at the รcole des Beaux-Arts, a date book kept by Brown in 1897 while he was attending the รcole, and two early sketchbooks, probably kept by John Bakewell, Jr.
