Description:
A view of the Brand Mansion’s dining room alcove. The alcove is comprised of a window and window seat. The window is a large
fixed glass with a cusped ogee-arched leaded-glass transom. Carved Corinthian columns and a lintel frame the opening of the
alcove. The columns support an elaborately carved arch, which frames the window. Orange groves and a view of the San Fernando
Valley can be seen through the window. A page from Miradero, a book consisting of views of the home of Leslie C. Brand in
Glendale, Calif., and of the surrounding area. Caption title.
