Informs Coffman that he's suggested to John Collier that Indian land in Palm Springs could be developed to great value with proper business management and Collier asked the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce to undertake a study (see item #22: "Rosencrans Report") on this topic. Suggests that the Indians should not be made aware of it. Asks Coffman to look into the Chamber of Commerce for details.

Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce for John Collier. "Rosencrans Report" appraises lands and suggests relocation tribal members to Section 35, disposing of the remainder through land sale "for the care and maintenance of the Indian tribe." Leasing is seen as being too problematic and "detrimental to the community." Section 14, according to the report, should be sold to the City of Palm Springs for use as a free bathing facility, with a separate facility for Indian use.
