Dear Miss Greenfield;

Just a few lines to say we are getting along okay and I hope everything is running smoothly with you and the committee. Jack has a white collar job working in an office in the hospital and he is really doing fine. Chepe, Manuel D. and myself are on a baseball team, we play a game every Sunday. Gus is playing on the softball team, he likewise plays every week. We have also been going to church regular. On Easter we had a beautiful Mass. We all went to Confession and Holy Communion. Bobby Levine sang with the Catholic Choir. On Saturday, May 22 we will see the picture "Gone With the Wind," starring Clark Gable. Last Saturday we saw "The Great Dictator, with Charles Chaplain and Paulette Goddard. It was pretty good. Has the brief that goes to the Appeal Court been made yet? Could you tell me if this Leo Gallagher that is helping Ben Margolis is the same Leo Gallagher from the Lawyers Guild? And if you know where he's from I would like to know too. This is just to settle a little argument.

I think it was nice of you to send your picture in the Appeal News. You really came out fine. We were going to take some pictures Sunday, but something happened and we had to postpone it. Just as soon as we take some, I will send them down. There must be many more persons like Pete the newsboy who see that we need their help, and are helping us. It might be impossible to thank them personally at the present time, but I have hopes and pray that I will be able to in the near future. Best regards to all of you from all of us.

Sincerely

Smiles
