Contains notebooks, writings, correspondence and other papers that Brautigan left with his friend Dwain Richard Cox. Also includes photographs of Brautigan, his family, and of a trip he took; some writings of Tanikawa ShuntarĊ. Writings and correspondence were not sorted except in cases where the papers were obviously labeled.

Richard Gary Brautigan was an American writer (novelist, poet). Born Tacoma, Washington, January 30 1935. Died Bolinas, California, around September 14, 1984 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound (the exact date of his death is unknown; his body was discovered October 25, 1984).
