Tape-recorded interview conducted Dec. 1965 by Ruth Teiser for the Regional Oral History Office, Bancroft Library. Experiences in World War II conscientious objectors' camp: writing and printing in Bay Area; conversion to Catholicism; life as a lay brother in Dominican order; recent writing and lecturing. Photographs inserted. Appended: poem, Triptych for the Living, printed by the author, Oct. 1955; KQED program with article re the poet; photocopy of article from the Daily Californian re his lecture on the Berkeley campus.
