Description
Contains correspondence of Alexander Calder and of other members of the Calder and Hayes families, dating from the outset of the artist's career and providing many details of his art and family life. Includes a small group of original drawings, juvenile sketches, and prints by Alexander Calder.

Also includes correspondence and subject files kept by Margaret Calder Hayes and relating to her political, environmental, and humanitarian activities, primarily in Berkeley, San Francisco Bay Area, and Lake Tahoe, Calif.
