Description
The collection contains 99 photographs and one glass plate positive. The images are portraits, posed wedding pictures, vacation scenes, interiors and exteriors of houses, and other scenes of family life. Very few of the photographs are identified; only one is dated (1913). Names that appear include Carrie Walter, Rev. Dr. M. Lilienthal, Michels & Greenebaum (?), Philip Lilienthal, and Harold Mack, Jr. There are two identified group photos (wedding of Ted Lilienthal & Frances Baruch and Eleanor Haas' costume party).
Background
Ruth Haas (1891-1978) married Philip Lilienthal, Jr. in 1914. Her parents were Fannie Koshland and Abraham Haas; her brother Walter married Elise Stern and her sister Eleanor married Daniel Koshland.
