The first series of this collection contains letters, reminiscences, diaries and account books, autobiographies, and other
items from a number of Stanford University students. Most of the letters are written home to family members; typical subjects
include academic affairs, social life on campus and off, fraternity and sorority affairs, and athletics. Other subjects include
events at the Stanford home and the settlement of Leland Stanford's estate.
