Biography

Violet Schram was an actress of the stage, radio, and film; her silent film credits include Big happiness, The gray wolf's ghost, Out of the darkness, Riders of the Dawn, The walk-offs, White Lies, and The woman with the parakeets.

Scope and Content

Collection consists of photographs (mostly film stills), newspaper clippings, ephemera, and a poster relating to Violet Schram's theatrical, radio, and movie career, especially with Universal Studios. Includes a World War I Liberty poster of Schram draped in a flag. Also includes stills and ephemera from the following silent films: Knighthood in Hollywood (1915), Two Rebels (1916), Soldiers of the Legion (1917), Toby's Bow (1919), The Big Happiness (1920), Riders of the Dawn (1920), and White Lies (1920).
