Restrictions
Users must provide name, address, and purpose of research. This information is forwarded
to the National Archives and Public Records Services of Papua New Guinea. A form for this
purpose is attached to the register of this collection and is included in the
collection's case file. A copy of any published or unpublished paper, report, article,
monograph, etc., for which these materials have been used, must be deposited in the
National Library, Papua New Guinea (deposit is the responsibility of the researcher). Due
acknowledgement must be given to the National Archives and Public Records Services of
Papua New Guinea in any publications using these materials. Copying of any part of the
microfilm can only be done with the approval of the UCSD Manuscripts Librarian, and those
wishing to make copies must provide a written statement of purpose, which will be
forwarded to the Chief Archivist of the Papua New Guinea National Archives. Any
researcher who does not comply with the restrictions governing the use of this microfilm
will be denied access to these materials. Given the potential sensitive nature of some of
the materials contained in the microfilm, the onus is on the researcher to use the utmost
discretion and ethical judgement in utilizing these documents.

subregion, and name of author of a document.
